An Elvis Presley carbon deposit slip dated February 3, 1955, to an account at the National Bank of Commerce in Memphis, Tennessee, for the amount of $240, with Presley's carbon copy signature. The pink slip has printed text at the bottom that reads "Duplicate Deposit Ticket/ New Account." The slip is affixed to a heavy card stock board. This was among the possessions of Presley's father, Vernon Presley, at the time of Vernon's death. In February 1955, Presley was working on songs at Sun Studios and also performing, including at a February 13 performance where Buddy Holly opened the show.
