A framed certificate presented to Pelé on April 25, 1971, naming him a "Samba Commander," from the samba school, G. R. Escola de Samba Estação Primeira da Mangueira, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This certificate is No. 0001, the first certificate issued by the school. The certificate is accompanied by a plaque presented to Pelé in 1977 from the school that reads (translated) "To King Pelé/ #1 Samba Commander of Mangueira./ Tribute/ Board of G.R.E.S.S.E.
