Saint-Louis (French, founded 1829), second half 19th century. A fine "Scramble" or "End of the Day' millefiori and filigree paperweight featuring a colorful assortment of whole and partial complex canes in pink, green, deep purple, sapphire blue, red, violet, aqua and white among tumbled complex segments of white upset muslin or white latticino and colored filigree. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 2.15", diameter of base 2.25".
