A 1960s Indian-style brass-topped table and stools set used by Lennon and Ono in the sunroom at Kenwood in Weybridge, Surrey, in the late 1960s. When Lennon and Ono moved to Tittenhurst Park, Berkshire, in 1969, this was among some of the furniture that they brought with them. The items came into the possession of William Brandish through Ted Daniels, who was entrusted with emptying Tittenhurst Park before Ringo Starr moved in in 1973. Brandish kept the set in storage along with other items; following Lennon's death in 1980, Brandish was advised that he could dispose of the items as he wished. Accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity from Brandish. The circular table consists of a large metal table top that sits on a foldable wood base frame of six brass-tipped curved legs, four of which swivel flat to the other two, which are fixed. The two smaller brass circular tripod stools each have three turned brass legs and are concave with vented sides. Both the table and the stools are decorated with a lotus flower design. The set is currently located in the United Kingdom, and the winning bidder is responsible for picking up or shipping from there. Table top diameter, 45 inches; Table top height, 18 inches; Stool height, 12 inches Categories: John Lennon
