A trophy presented to Pelé, "The Best Player," in 1970 by Independent Television and TV Times, in honor of his 1970 World Cup victory. The metal trophy resembling a cup stands on a wood base. Affixed to the base is a silver tone metal plaque inscribed "Independent Television/ World Cup/ Awards/ 1970/ Presented by TV Times." A silver tone metal plaque on the side of the wood base states "Award for/ The Best Player."
