The game took place at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on October 1, 1977. Pelé presented Ali with a game ball used in the match. The canvas is signed by both Pelé and Ali in silver marker. A certificate of authenticity is included for the Muhammad Ali signature.
