A bow and arrow presented to Pelé on his visit to Africa in January 1969 with Santos FC. The bow is constructed of a single piece of wood with feathers, a triangular pattern of cord, and a bowstring made of hemp. The arrow is a solid shaft of wood honed to a fine sharp point and features a feather vane. During Pelé's visit to Nigeria on the trip, the warring factions in a civil war agreed to a temporary truce lasting the duration of his Santos FC team's stay.
