A gold tone medal presented to Pelé in 1970 by then Governor of Jalisco, Mexico, Medina Ascensio. Jalisco Stadium was one of five stadiums in five different cities that were selected to host the 1970 World Cup matches. With Pelé, Brazil won its third World Cup title in 1970, defeating Italy in the final in Mexico City. The medal has a clasp and medal bar at the top with the front featuring the Jalisco coat of arms with lettering that reads "Lic. FCO. Medina Ascensio/ Gobernador del edo."
