A trophy presented to Pelé on April 29, 1973, when Santos FC defeated Corinthians in the Campeonato Paulista, 3-0, in Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo, Brazil. Pelé scored the first and third goals of the game. The metal trophy features a Bandeirante [translation: one who carries the flag], one of a group of 17th-century Portuguese settlers and fortune hunters in Brazil, most of them from the São Paulo region.
