A framed February 8, 1974, certificate and medal "Trofēu Assis Chateaubriand" awarded to Pelé by O Cruzeiro , then a Brazilian illustrated weekly magazine, released in Rio de Janeiro and published by Assis Chateaubriand's "Diários Associados. " The certificate commends the sportsman Pelé as an example of tenacity, perseverance, and faith and confidence in Brazil. The framed certificate and medal are accompanied by a two-part gold tone and red and blue cloth medal with lettering that reads "Assis Chateaubriand."
