A gold tone and enamel medallion presented to Pelé in 1996 by the government of the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. In Paris on November 5, 1895, a Treaty of Friendship, Trade and Navigation was signed between Japan and Brazil, establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
