Very fine and very rare stainless steel wristwatch with square button chronograph and two-tone dial, with an 18K white gold buckle. Accompanied by a wooden fitted box and a Certificate of Authenticity. Three-body, polished and brushed, inclined bezel, concave lugs. Two-tone silver with applied steel baton indexes and Roman 6 and 12, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials, outer minutes and fifths of a second divisions with Arabic five minute/seconds numerals. White gold baton hands. Cal. 13’’’ 434 chronographe, rhodium-plated, fausses-côtes decoration, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 34 mm. Thickness 12 mm. Notes The present watch was recently overhauled by the manufacturer. This sporty and dynamic watch, like certain Patek Philippe or Rolex sports watches, is one of the models Vacheron Constantin became famous for during the second third of the 20th century. Beautiful, masculine, and technically perfect, not only was it a commercial success at the time, but has long been appreciated bycollectors, who consider it one of the “immortals” of horological history.
