LONGINES "LINDBERGH" REF. 35 Longines, "Lindbergh," No. 7320139, case No. 23469, Ref. 35, invented by Col. Chas. A. Lindbergh, US Pat. 1923305, launched in 1931. Very fine and very rare, small hour angle, stainless steel and silver aviator's wristwatch with center seconds and two crowns. Three-body, polished, dedicated snap-on case back, revolving silver bezel with the enameled 15 degree graduations in black and blue Arabic numerals, graduated rounded band, the crown at 2o'clock activates the central revolving dial, lever at 6 o'clock for locking the revolving bezel. Matte silver with painted radial Roman quarter hour numerals and baton indexes, concentric 180degrees in blue Arabic numerals, at the center, revolving dial bearing the 60 seconds and 15 degrees in red Arabic numerals. Blued steel feuille hands. Cal.12 L, rhodium-plated, 17jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring. Notes Dial, case, and movement signed.
