MINIATURE WATCH TRES PETITE GOLD & ENAMEL Swiss, case No. 852. Made circa 1850. Fine and very rare, miniature, gold and enamel lady's pendant watch. Notes DIAM. 18 mm. The making of miniature watches has always been a challenge for watchmakers. Many have vied with each other to produce ever smaller mechanisms enabling them to boast of making "the World's Smallest Watch". With a diameter of 18 mm. the present watch can truly be described as a miniature.
