Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold, quarter-repeating, hunting cased keyless lever "demi chronometre" pocket watch with gold wheel train. Dial, case and movement signed. Notes DIAM. 52 mm. DEMI-CHRONOMÈTRE The name was used by He nry Capt to indicate that the movement was sent to the Observatory for chronometric control, but that for commercial reasons, it did not remain long enough to complete the entire course of testing. To our knowledge, only two Genevan firms employed the denomination "Demi-Chronomètre": Henry Capt and Vacheron Constantin.
