A black and white photograph from the December 1972 Vogue photo shoot with Erté, also known as Romain de Tirtoff (Russian/ French, 1892-1990), and Isobel Estorick (American, 20th century), with ink inscription at lower left contained in large heart, encircled by small hearts, that reads from left "To Burton with much love. You are a marvelous friend. Kisses, Isobel" and "To Burton repeating all what Isobel wrote, Erté". Photo depicts a seated Erté wearing a loose white blouse under a black vest with long neck cravat, next to a seated Isobel Estorick wearing a white turban, both seated on clear inflatable sofa. The image is from a photo shoot that was published in Vogue in December of 1972, wherein Erté meticulously painted Isobel's fingernails using stained glass varnish. Framed approximately 15.75" x 12.75". Unframed approximately 14.125" x 11.5". Note: This photograph was likely signed for Burton Miller (American, 1926-1982), one of the founding members of The Costume Designers Guild (American, founded 1953) alongside Erté. Isobel Estorick was an American actress.
