Fine and unusual, large, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K white gold and diamond-set wristwatch with center seconds and a Chopard 18K white gold buckle. Two-body, polished, the bezel set with round white diamonds, straight lugs, back with 6 screws and engraved "Libya 1.9.2009", sapphire crystal. Gloss black painted with a map of Africa in green highlighting Libya in red and orange and "40" in gold. White gold feuille hands. Rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 25 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, shock absorber, micrometer regulator. Notes Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 40 mm. THICKNESS 8 mm. Produced to mark COLONEL GADDAFI's 40 years in power, this watch was one of a small number specially ordered probably for presentation at the events held on 1st September 2009.
