“Solar Clock” Patek Philippe, Genève, No. 874379. Made circa 1965. Fine and rare, gilt brass, solar-powered Empire-style mantel clock with electrically-wound remontoir. Brushed gilt brass, 4 fluted columns with stiff-leaf capitals and bases, stiff-leaf and beaded border, top with solar cells, hinged back door. Cream with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Fancy blued steel engraved hands. Notes Solar-powered clocks by Patek Philippe with four columns are very rare.
