"Split Seconds Chronograph - 1st Quality" Patek, Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 125234, case No. 239108. Made in 1905, sold on August 30, 1911. Very fine and rare, keyless, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph and register. Accompanied by the original Patek Philippe wooden fitted box, original Certificat d’Origine, spare mainspring and the Extract from the Archives. Four-body, “demi-bassine”, solid, polished, rectangular pusher on the band at 11 for the split-seconds function and bolt for locking the chronograph, the back cover with a small engraved monogram. Hinged gold cuvette with engraved dedication. White enamel with painted Breguet numerals, outer minute and 1/5 seconds divisions with red Arabic 5-minute/ seconds numerals, subsidiary seconds, 30-minute register. Yellow gold "Louis XV" hands. Notes The present watch is described on the original Certificat d’Origine as being “1st Quality”. The monogram is also mentioned in the Certificate and Extract and is repeated on a plaque on the lid of the box. It is very rare for Patek Philippe split-seconds chronographs to retain the original Certificate and box.
