Made in a limited series of 140 numbered examples and a few unnumbered examples, circa 1992. Fine and rare, large, cushion-shaped, water-resistant, stainless steel and PVD-coated Panerai buckle. Accompanied by the original fitted box and certificate. Three-body, screwed-down case back, winding crown with patented security lever to wind the watch even under water, sapphire crystal. Black with luminous Arabic 12, 3, 6 and 9 and baton indexes. Luminous "baton" hands. Cal. 3126, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 4 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 44 x 44 mm. Thickness 15 mm. Notes The "Luminor" model was replaced by the "Radiomir" in the second half of the 1940s. In the 1950s these watches were called "Marina Militare" at the request of the Italian Marine. The public version was fist made available in 1993. The security lever on the crown not only offered increased water-protection, but also allowed the watch to be wound under water.
