Very fine and extremely rare, astronomic, 18K pink gold and stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with triple calendar and moon phases, and with a stainless steel Vacheron & Constantin buckle. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Two-body, bicolor, polished, stepped band, pink gold teardrop lugs and winding-crown, steel case. Two-tone silver with applied lapidated pink gold indexes and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, outergraduation for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week and the months. Pink gold "bâton"hands. Cal. 12 1/2’’’ V 495, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 17 jewels, straight line leverescapement, beryllium balance with timing screws, adjusted to temperatures, shock-absorber, Breguet balance-spring,swan neck micrometer regulator.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 35 mm. Thickness: 11 mm. Notes Ref. 4240 one of Vacheron Constantin's most successful watches, was produced in yellow gold, rarely in pink gold, a very small number of pieces in steel, and a few dozen watches in bicolored cases of steel with pink gold lugs.
