Very fine and rare 18K yellow gold, heavy, hunting-cased pocket watch with double-train and split seconds chronograph with 1/5 second diablotine. Five-body, "bassine et filets", engine turned and polished,hinged and sprung front cover with engraved monogram, ropetwistborders. Hinged gold engine turned cuvette. Whiteenamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, Arabic fiveminute/seconds numerals, outermost seconds divided intofifths, subsidiary fifth-second jump diablotine. Blued-steel"Breguet" hands. Notes Henry Louis Matile Is recorded as working in the second half of the 19th ccntury. His watches are usually of high quality and he specialized in making watches for export to the United States.
