Very fine and unusually rare, large, "carré à coins arrondis", center-seconds, 18K pink gold gentleman's wristwatch with a pink gold Vacheron Constantin buckle. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Two-body, solid, polished, sloped bezel, lapidated corners, rounded lugs, thick crystal. Satiné silver withapplied pink gold bâton indexes, outer minute devisions. Pink gold "bâton" hands. Cal. 9’’’ 466/38, rhodium-plated,“fausses côtes” decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, beryllium balance with timingscrews, adjusted to temperatures, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, Vacheron &Constantin micrometer regulator.Dial, case and movement signed.Dim. 33 x 33 mm. Thickness: 9 mm. Notes Called the “TV Watch” by collectors, this extremely rare model is considered to be the “younger brother” of the “cioccolatone”, and like it, one of the precursors of the soon to become popular extra-large wristwatch.
