Three-body, wide sunburst engine-turned bezel, straight lugs. Silvered, with applied pink gold indexes. Pinkgold "bâton" hands. Cal. 9’’’ 1003, rhodium-plated, “fausses-côtes” decoration, 17 jewels, straight line leverescapement, beryllium balance with timing screws, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, self-compensatingflat balance-spring.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 30 mm. Notes Ref. 6704/3 This very elegant model, used with Ref. 6125, 611, 6099, 4961 and 4963, is an extra-flat watch, the flattest ever made, with a movement 1.64 mm. in thickness and a diameter of 20.8 mm. A feat of technological prowess that has remained unrivalled since 1955. Beautifully finished and extremely sturdy due to its small dimensions, the movement was produced by Vacheron Constantin for over a decade. Following its launch at the Basel fair in 1955, Vacheron Constantin went on to produce several thousand examples in collaboration with the Lecoultre factory. These were purchased by companies such as IWC, Jaeger Lecoultre, Patek Philippe, Zentih, and Audemars Piguet.
