Very fine and rare, curved, lozenge-shaped, 18K yellow gold gentleman's Art Deco wristwatch with 18K yellow gold bracelet “à petites mailles”. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Two-body, solid, polished, hinged case back, wire lugs, domed crystal. Matte silver with painted andgraduated Arabic numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. Cal. R.A. 9’’’ 94, rhodium-plated,16 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to 5 positions,flat balance-spring, index regulator.Dial, case and movement signed.Dim. 24 x 41 mm. Thickness 8 mm. Notes The present watch is an excellent example of the earliest lozenge-shaped wristwatches, a development of the “tonneau” shape. The admirable iconography of the dial is perfectly suited to the case’s form.
