Fine and rare, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with black dial and a yellow gold Vacheron Constantin buckle. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Two-body, solid, polished, claw lugs. Black with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track and subsidiaryseconds. Yellow gold "bâton" hands. Cal. 12 1/2’’’ 453/3, rhodium plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 17jewels, straight line lever escapement, beryllium balance with timing screws, adjusted to temperatures, Breguetbalance-spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 33 mm. Thickness: 9 mm. Notes These are excellent examples of watches with the so-called “claw lugs” that were fashionable for almost two decades, from the beginning of the 1940s to the end of the 1950s. These lugs, which were featured on watches with various types of complications, were extremely surprising and effective.
