So-called “Pre-Daytona” Rolex "Oyster Chronograph Anti-magnetic", Ref. 6234. Made circa 1950. Fine tonneau-shaped, water-resistant, stain-less steel gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, tachometer and telemeter, with a stainless steel Oyster bracelet. Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-downcase back and crown. Matte silver withapplied faceted dart indexes, auxiliary dials forthe seconds, the 12 hour and 30 minute regis-ters,outer painted blue telemeter graduationand black tachometer graduation. Radium-coatedsteel "alpha" hands. Notes Ref. 6234 Was made from the 1940s to the 1960s.
