Pine, the sliding hood with pointed cresting, straight-sided trunk with hinged door, the base with glazed demi-luneaperture and tapering to a point. Off-white stove enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track andArabic five minute numerals. Finely pierced gilt hour and minute hands with half-moon terminals, blued steelcentre seconds hand. Large rectangular shaped brass plates, four turned pillars, three trains with three leadweights, deadbeat escapement, pump-action striking, the hours with a single hammer mounted on the left of themovement, striking the quarter hours with three hammers on a nest of three bells, pull repeat, strike workmounted on the backplate, brass bob pendulum with steel rod.Dim. 165 x 39 cm.
