Jaquet Droz, Genève, No. 12009, made for the Chinese Market, circa 1780. Very fine 18K gold, enamel, ruby and pearl set pocket watch with centre seconds. Double-body with ruby and split-pearl set bezels, theback enamel panel with geometrical paillon decoration. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minutes andseconds markers and Arabic five minutes/seconds numerals. Pierced goldhands. Gilt brass full plate with going barrel, pierced and engraved cock, the foot sunk into the foliate chasedand engraved plate, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring.Movement signed.Diam. 52 mm.
