Exceptionally fine and extremely rare, water-resistant, self-winding, platinum gentleman's wristwatch with enamel dial and an 18K white gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Two-body solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down slightlydomed case back. Beige enamel, applied white gold facetedbaton indexes, subsidiary seconds. Notes To the best of our knowledge, only two platinum watches with this reference with enamel dial, accompanied by Extracts from the Archives attesting that the watch was made with the enamel dial, have been offered over the past 20 years at auction. The present watch is certainly one of the most spectacular ever made by Patek Philippe. A similar watch is published in “Collecting Patek Philippe Wristwatches” by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Guido Mondani Editore, 2004, vol. II, pp. 178 to 184. Ref. 2526. First launched by Patek Philippe in 1953, this was the first self-winding wristwatch model ever made by the company, with the caliber 12'''-600 AT, bearing the serial number 760,000.
