Extremely rare and fine center-seconds, astronomic, 18K white gold gentleman's wristwatch with perpetual calendar and moon phases. Accompanied by an 18K white gold Patek Philippe Gay Freres bracelet and the Extract from the Archives. three-body, solid, polished, concave bezel. matte silver with applied white goldArabic numerals and dot indexes, auxiliary dials for the days of the month, apertures forthe days of the week, the months and the moon phases. Notes Ref. 2497 and 2438-1 From 1951 to 1963, only 179 examples of these two models were produced with the caliber 27-SC Q, bearing the serial number 888'000; the majority were made in yellow gold, with very few in pink gold. Only two watches are known in white gold: No. 888055, sold by Antiquorum, Geneva, October 15, 2000, and the present watch, No. 888054. Only two are known in platinum. One, made in 1953 (movement 888'029), was sold by Antiquorum Hong Kong, in June 9-10, 1997, lot 199.
