Four-body, “bassine”, back decorated in high relief painted onenamel diamond-set rose, on opaque blue enamel backgroundwith enameled rose stem and leaves, band and bezel in thesame opaque blue enamel with gold leaves, gold hinged cuvette.Fleur-de-lys gold and enamel brooch decorated with matchingdiamond-set rose in high relief on blue background. Blued steel “spade” hands. 20 mm (9’’’)frosted gilt, LeCoultre patented calibre, 18 jewels, straight linelever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance withBreguet balance spring.Punched with the maker’s trademark inside back case.Diam. 25 mm, length with the brooch 75 mm. Notes The trademark found on the watch was registered by Braillard in 1897. A year before they won a Gold Medal at the Swiss National Exhibition of Horology in Geneva. They specialized in high quality watches, fantasy ball watches. In about 1910 they advertised making watches decorated with enamel in high relief.
