Two-part, entirely made of tortoiseshell, hinged key compartment.The silvered metal singing bird box cover engraved witha two birds catching an insect within a flower and leaf border. Singing bird movement: rectangular plates with turned pillars,large spring barrel, rectangular bellow, the bird with movingwings, tail and beak controlled by large cams on the baseand top of the barrel, gilt brass pierced and engraved grille.Scratch numbered on the top plate.Dim. 101 x 67 x 32.5 mm.
