“Aviator’s Fly-back Chronograph” Longines, No. 7367841, case No. 23473, Ref. 139. Made in the 1940s. Fine and very rare, stainless steel “Staybrite” aviator’s wristwatch with independent single round button fly-back chronograph with central minute counter. Four-body, polished, revolving reeded bezel inside engraved with 60-minute graduation, concave lugs, ballshaped crown. Black with radium-coated Arabic numerals, outer minute and 1/5th seconds graduation, subsidiary seconds dial. Steel radium-coated “bâton” hands, red central hand for the elapsed minutes. Cal. 12.68 Z, rhodium-plated, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 47 mm. Thickness 11 mm.
