“Triple Complication” Patek Philippe & Cie. , Genève, No. 125293, case especially made in 1980. Extremely fine and rare, keyless, minute-repeating, astronomic, 18K yellow gold, “Triple Complication” pocket watch with perpetual calendar, moon phases and split-seconds chronograph. Accompanied by a fitted box and an Extract from the Archives. Three-body, "variee carrure plate", solid, polished and brushed. Inner cover transparent to view the movement. Gold, satiné silvered with applied yellow gold bâton indexes, outer 1/5th seconds chronograph divisions, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the days of the month, of the week, the months, aperture for the moon phases. Yellow gold "dauphine" hands. Notes Made in 1905, this watch was first sold on March 23, 1911. It was returned to the Patek Philippe workshops in 1980, at which time the watch was entirely restored, serviced and fitted with a new case, dial and hands. The original case, No. 255213, was replaced by the present one, No. 125293, which is identical with the movement number. The triple-complicated masterpiece was sold by Antiquorum in its Hong Kong auction on June 7, 1999, Lot 576.
