Ulysse Nardin, Locle, Chronomètre, No. 127523, case No. 711808, from a series of 402 pieces. Tested by the Federazione Italiana Cronometristi and completed circa 1956. Fine and large stainless steel, keyless pocket chronometer with split-seconds chronograph and instantaneous 30-minute recorder. Accompanied by the original Ulysse Nardin leather-covered fitted field case and strap. Three-piece, massive, “bassine et filets”, polished with screwed back. Detachable stainless steel cuvette. White enamel with dauphine numerals, outer minute track with Arabic five minute/second numerals, extreme outer chronograph ring divided into fifths and tenths of a second, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register. Black steel Breguet hands. Notes A very similar watch from the same series but with a silvered dial - movement No. 127596, case No. 711845 - was sold by Antiquorum Geneva, April 2, 2000, lot 48. It would appear that these watches were made in the first quarter of the 20th Century, but not completed and sold until the 1950s.
