Heinrich Brachtheiser(Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, active 1762-1788) - Southeastern Pennsylvania award of merit, hand-drawn watercolor and ink on laid paper, dated 1787, inscribed "For Anna Allterffern" and inscribed at the top "brafer schuler im singen" (excellent scholar in singing), with red, yellow and blue tulip tree arising from the ground and surmounted by a peacock, 4" x 2 3/4". Provenance: George Horace Lorimer collection. Pictured in Fraktur Writings or Illuminated Manuscripts , by Dr. Donald A.
