“Maltese Cross Markers” Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 486944, case No. 314847. Made in the late 1940s. Fine and large, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch. Two-body, polished, curved band, teardrop lugs. Two-tone matte silver with applied yellow gold radial Roman numerals and Maltese cross markers, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold "bâton" hands. Notes The dial of this watch is unusual in having the Vacheron Constantin symbol of the Maltese cross used for the alternate markers.
