“Carré” Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 472370, case No. 307475. Made in the 1940s. Very fine and rare, square, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch. Two-body, solid, polished, teardrop lugs. Matte silver with applied yellow gold Roman numerals and dart indexes, subsidiary seconds dial. Yellow gold "bâton" hands. Cal. V 458, rhodiumplated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures, Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 25 x 25 mm. Thickness 8 mm.
