“Trafalgar 1805” RGM Watch Company, Lancaster in Pennsylvania, "Trafalgar 1805 – H. M. S. Victory", Ref. 200. Made in 2005 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar. Part of a special commemorative series of watches with hand-engraved dials depicting famous Tall Ships. Very fine and rare, center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman’s wristwatch with a unique dial, especially decorated movement and an 18K yellow gold RGM buckle. Accompanied by a fitted box. Three-body, solid, polished, stepped bezel, concave lugs, screwed-down case back, at the case side a white gold plaque “Victory”, domed sapphire crystal. Solid silver with hand-engraved portrait of the “Victory” amongst other battleships during the Trafalgar battle, luminous dot markers. Yellow gold hands with luminous “lozenge” tips. Cal. 13 1/2’’’, gilt and rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" and engine-turned decoration, 24 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance,shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring, micrometer regulator, gilt rotor decorated and engraved with the motto “Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense”. Dial and case signed. Diam. 43 mm. Thickness 15 mm. Notes HMS Victory, on display at the Porthmouth Historic Dockyard in England, is revered as the world’s oldest commissioned battleship.
