“The Galleon” Eska Watch Co. , Swiss. Made circa 1955. Fine and rare, self-winding, 18K yellow gold gentleman’s wristwatch with cloisonné enamel dial and center seconds. Two-body, polished, inclined bezel, concave lugs. Polychrome cloisonné enamel on gold depicting a galleon at sea, applied gold dot hour markers and Arabic quarter-hour numerals. Gold “dauphine” hands. 11’’’, copper-colored, within a metal ring, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance spring, shock absorber, index regulator, buffered rotor. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 10 mm.
