Ref. 6150, Stainless Steel “Explorer Precision” Rolex, “Oyster Perpetual Precision, Explorer, Rotor Self-Winding”, Ref. 6150. Case No. 944995. Made in 1953. Fine and rare, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with a stainless steel Rolex buckle. Three-body, polished and brushed, screw-down case back and crown, inclined bezel, concave lugs. Beige, flinqué “honeycomb” with applied yellow gold dart indexes and Arabic numerals, luminous dot markers, outer minutes/seconds divisions. Luminous gilt "Alpha" hands. Notes This watch is particularly interesting due to its unusual dial typography with its unusual numerals and rare cream color. The caliber 765 was produced between 1950 to1955.
