Ref. 6239. Stainless Steel “ Cosmograph Daytona” Rolex, “Cosmograph, Daytona”, Ref. 6239 “1st Generation”. Case No. 1463469. Made in 1966. Fine and rare, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman' s wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers and stainless steel bezel with tachometer graduated to 300UPH and a stainless steel Rolex buckle. Three body, polished and brushed screwed case back and crown, tachometer graduation on the bezel to 300 units per hour. Bi-color silver and black with applied steel baton indexes, luminous dots outer minute/seconds divisions, subsidiary seconds, 12- hour and 30-minute registers. Luminous steel "baton" hands. Notes Reference 6263 was produced from 1964 to 1979/1970. There are two distinct generations of this reference: the first from 1964-1967 with bezel graduated to 300 UPH and the second from 1968-1970 with bezel graduated to 200 UPH.
