Ref. 6298, “Explorer – Honeycomb Dial” Rolex, “Oyster Perpetual, Explorer, Officially Certified Chronometer”, Ref. 6298. Case No. 929262. Made in 1953. Fine and very rare, tonneau-shaped, center seconds, self-winding, waterresistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with black dial. Three-body, polished, screwed-down case back and crown, inclined bezel. Black with flinqué “honeycomb” center, luminous baton and triangular indexes and Arabic quarter hour numerals, outer gilt minute/seconds divisions. Luminous gold "Alpha" hands.
