Ref. 6263 Stainless Steel “Omani Cosmograph” Rolex, “Oyster, Cosmograph", Ref. 6263. Case No. 3986302. Made in 1975 for the Omani Crown. Fine, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, anti-reflective black bezel with tachometer and a stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet. Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back, push buttons and crown, tachometer graduation on the anti-reflective bezel to 200 units per hour. Bi-colored silver and black with the Omani crest at 12, applied bâton steel indexes, luminous dots, outer minute/seconds divisions, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30- minute registers. Luminous steel "bâton" hands. Cal. 727, rhodium plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 3 positions, shockabsorber, self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance-spring, Microstella regulating screws. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 37 mm. Thickness 13.5 mm. Notes Reference 6263 was produced from 1971 to 1987 in stainless steel, 14K and 18K yellow gold, for the Sultan’s Palace and in platinum, specially made in two pieces for the Sultan.
