Ref. 6036, so-called "Jean-Claude Killy". Rolex "Oyster Chronographe, Anti-Magnetique", Ref. 6036. Case No. 847155. Made in 1951. Very fine and important, tonneau-shaped, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, triple date and the original 18K yellow gold Rolex Jubilee bracelet. Accompanied by the original certificate (now void). Two-body, polished, screwed-down case back engraved with the monogram M.V.G., screwed-down crown. Notes Ref. 6036 Antimagnetic chronograph with triple date. Produced in few examples from 1948 to 1955 in 18K yellow or pink gold and very few in stainless steel, with various dial designs and hand shapes. Called by collectors the "Jean-Claude Killy" after the famous 1960s world skiing champion. The present watch is exceptional for its condition, the beauty of its dial, and the survival of its original bracelet and certificate.
