Fine, center-seconds, water-resistant, 18K pink gold and cloisonné enamel gentleman's wristwatch, to commemorate the founding of Saudi Arabia by King Abdul al-Aziz III Ibn Saud (1880-1953). Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back, angled lugs. Polychrome cloisonné enamel representing the Arabian Peninsula, the palm tree and crossed swords and a mosque probably representing Medina, surrounded by a pink gold plain reserve with dedication in Arabic characters and Islamic numerals. Pink gold "Dauphine" hands. Cal. 138 SS, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring, buffered rotor. Case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 12 mm.
