Very fine and rare, tonneau-shaped, water-resistant, center seconds, self-winding, 14K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch chronometer with hooded lugs and 18K gold bracelet. Accompanied by the original Rolex Timing Certificate. Three-body, polished, screwed-down back and crown, engine-turned hooded lugs. Matte silver with applied gold Arabic quarters and dot indexes, outer minute/seconds track with gilt triangular five minute/second markers. Gold “feuille" hands. Cal. 620, 9 3/4’’’, rhodium plated, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 32 mm. Thickness 12 mm. Notes This watch is unusual due to its excellent original un-restored condition with unusual engine-turned hooded lugs. It is also accompanied by the original rating certificate showing that it was timed in 5 positions and at 3 temperatures. The caliber 9 3/4’’’, Ref. 620, was produced between 1940 and 1951.
