Very fine and rare, center-seconds, 18K white and yellow gold gentleman’s wristwatch with a yellow gold Vacheron & Constantin buckle. Three-body, bi-colored, solid, polished and brushed, stepped bezel with a flat white gold ring bearing 12 fluted yellow gold indexes, stylized fancy lugs. Guilloché, gilt, with outermost painted seconds track. Yellow gold "bâton" hands. Cal. 1002, rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, beryllium balance with timing screws, adjusted to temperatures, self-compensating flat balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 34 mm. Thickness: 8 mm. To be sold without reserve Notes Ref. 6139 With stepped bezel, was probably an experimental model, given its rarity and the combination, unusual at the time, of yellow and white gold.
