Fine and rare, tonneau shaped, center seconds, water-resistant stainless steel and pink gold gentleman's wristwatch with stainless steel Rolex buckle.. Three-body, bicolored, polished, screwed-down steel case back and gold crown, pink gold reeded graduated bezel. Matte silvered with engraved and gilt Arabic numerals and dart indexes, outer minute/fifth second divisions. Luminous pink gold “Alpha” hands. Notes This reference was described in period advertising as the “watch that lives without breathing” due to its highly hermetic seal. This watch is illustrated in “Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches”, by Osvaldo Patrizzi, 2001 Edition, p. 113.
